CALLING ALL DOGS IN BOUNDARY AND BONNER COUNTY!
Do you have a dog that is loving, trustworthy and enjoys the company
of people? Karen Schumacher, a local, professional dog trainer
and certified therapy dog evaluator, is looking for owner/dog teams to be a part of "Pawsitive Works"
- a therapy dog program serving Boundary and portions of Bonner County.
The first opportunity to test will be Saturday, March 24th at 11am in the old Second Chance Thrift Store located next door to the Bonners
Ferry Veterinarian Office. (Thank you Ken and Carol Maring of Collective Dreams for the donation of this site!)
Those testing will have had to register with Karen and have met the pre-testing criteria. Those wishing to observe are welcome! (People only please - no other dogs allowed)
Establishing a Therapy Dog program for our community is a volunteer activity that is driven by Karen's love of
dogs and her knowledge of how much they can make a difference. Future test dates are dependant on finding a site
that will allow Karen to test Pet Partners on a regular basis.
If you know of an indoor facility that is willing to donate the
space please contact her at (208) 946-3883. |
